Dillon Grove is a 2009 MIF/OF/P with a 5'5'', 135 lb. frame from Corona, CA, who attends Santiago HS. Young prospect with a lean and athletic frame. Defensively he has good hands and solid actions in the middle of the diamond. Grove also showed the ability to cover ground from side to side. His throws were 66 mph across the infield with good accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a slight crouch. Grove uses a contact approach with a quick swing and a line drive swing plane. He is aggressive with pitches in the zone, and has sound hitting mechanics. Grove battles at the plate during each AB, including one 12+ pitch AB. On the mound he throws a ton of strikes using a fastball that topped out at 71 mph and a 58 mph curveball. Grove has the ability to spin his curveball. He gives 100% and is a fun player to watch. He is also a very good student.
