Nicodemus Ruedas is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Dripping Springs, TX who attends Dripping Springs. Medium build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, glove works well to both sides as well as out in front, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Fluid actions overall, clean and crisp turn, good feel for his positioning at short. Strong arm across the diamond that has the ability to make plays deep in the hole. Was gunned at 88 mph across the diamond in the in and out workout. On the mound, has a longer arm action from an over the top slot. Good quickness to his longer arm action, pumps into his glove before separating. Fastball up to 86 mph, mixes in a slower 11-to-5 shaped curveball with a ton of depth. Also throws a 74 mph straight change. At the plate, is a switch hitter with a similar looking stance from both sides of the plate. Uses a narrow and upright stance with a pronated back foot and a low leg kick trigger. Hands stay simple and quiet back into his load. Uphill plane from both sides, middle to pull side approach, present pop from both sides, yet, the power tool is farther developed from the left side of the plate. Great student in the classroom as well.
