Riley Miller is a 2021 RHP/2B with a 5-6 155 lb. frame from Casa Grande, AZ who attends Casa Grande Union. Compact frame with a solid build. Primary right handed pitcher with a large rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball created some downward plane with occasional sink in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 72 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth in the low 60's. Looked to work to the bottom quadrants of the zone and induced weaker contact. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance. Loose, extended path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to throw barrel head out front and work the baseball to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Excellent student.
