Luke Wright is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Ballwin, MO who attends Parkway West. He ran a 7.66 second sixty. A primary left-handed pitcher with a large physical frame. On the mound he works down hill with his fastball in the 76-80 mph range with arm aside run, he does a nice job repeating his delivery getting good extension out front with a low three-quarters arm slot at times, mixed in a curveball with scurvy action in the mid 60's and a change up with fading action around the plate, does a nice job in the zone with all three pitches not over powering but gets outs with the mix. At first base he showed good feel for the mechanics with strong throws to the bases sa he does a nice job getting his feet int he right spot. Left-handed hitter, with strength over bat speed at the plate, works best to the pull side gap from a upright stance with a high leg lift trigger, the barrel works up through the zone with the ability to create leverage when on time. Very good student.
