Trent Jackson is a 2019 C/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Kent, WA who attends Kentridge HS. Athletic frame with present strength. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Primary catcher with a low, balanced stance while receiving the baseball. Quick, sound footwork and gains ground while working out of crouch. Compact glove circle across chest and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 77 miles per hour. Best workout pop time of 1.89. Switch hitter with a crouched, open stance from each side of the plate and a leg lift trigger. Shifts into contact with linear lower half actions from each side of the plate. Utilized a naturally lofted barrel path showing projectable bat speed and strength from the left side. Primarily looked to work the ball to the middle of the field, but flashed very good carry with raw power potential from the left side of the plate. Good student as well. Named to the 2018 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
