Nate Mills is a 2020 OF/ with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Carlsbad. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.82 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels off to side and worked through exchange with a loose arm circle. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot generating stiff, accurate carry to the bag at 85 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance. Deeper hand load and worked to contact with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed while employing a mid field approach. Ball jumped off the barrel well when squared showing good carry to the gaps. Very good student. Named to the 2018 West Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
