DJ Guthinger is a 2020 OF/3B, MIF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Yorktown, VA who attends Tabb. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from wide-spread stance, inside-out hand path through swing, rocks back into load, line drive swing plane, middle-field approach with ability to work to the opposite field, solid contact skills, projects to drive the ball more as he gains strength. Worked out in the outfield, reads ball well off the bat and has quick first step, maintains momentum through the ball, fields cleanly and stays balanced, clean gather and transfer, clocked up to 78 mph on throws with quality accuracy and quick release.
