Kevin Torrado is a 2022 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Waco, TX who attends Midway. Medium build with room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary outfielder, fields out in front and shows good fluidity to and through the baseball. Works with an uphill plane after separation and really has to work to get back on top of the baseball. Throws stay on line to all bags. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Simple and repeatable mechanics with a high leg lift and good direction down the hill. Some good violence to his drop and drive actions, fastball up to 81 mph. Mixes in a 1-to-7 shaped curveball with some depth as well as a 72 mph straight change. At the plate, uses an upright and open stance with a large linear weight shift back into his load. Longer overall stroke, some pop to his pull side. At his best when getting his hands out in front, excellent student in the classroom as well.
