2019 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase
Dylan Schloss is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Beaverdam, VA who attends Patrick Henry. Large frame with strong, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, longer arm stroke through the back, extends well, works fast with good tempo, fastball worked 78-83 mph with good life to the arm side, rides the ball up and in on righthanded hitters successfully, slower curveball with good depth, also flashed a changeup, did a solid job throwing strikes. Hits from athletic stance, leg lift trigger, times up really well, generates leverage out front, consistently good bat speed, barrel is in great spot as hands launch, gets lower half involved and can drive the ball. Worked out at first base, deeper funnel between feet, has athleticism and it shows in footwork on and around the bag, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Good student, named to 2019 Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
