Scottie Monocchio is a 2019 LHP/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Glen Ellyn, IL who attends Glenbard West. Large frame with long, lean build; body projects well moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple side step into high leg lift to initiate delivery, stays balanced over rubber, longer arm stroke through the back up to three quarters slot, good arm speed coming through release, fastball worked 74-78 mph with good arm side run and occasional sinking life. Curveball showed good spin and depth on 1/7 plane, very good feel for changeup with fade late down in the zone and good arm speed. Mixed and matched three solid pitches down in the zone with very good control of entire arsenal. Good student.
