Caleb Sanders is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-0 171 lb. frame from Smithville, MO who attends Smithville. Strong athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.50 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online with the plate through finish. Uses a long loose arm action with some hook behind the head, going to a high three-quarter arm slot at release with good arm speed. Normal effort delivery. Flashed a two pitch mix thrown for consistent strikes creating a lot of soft early contact. Showed a fastball with heavy life through the zone thrown for consistent strikes to both sides of the plate topping out at 83 MPH complemented by a 9/5 curveball with sharper shape and shorter depth at 72 MPH. Also worked out defensively as an outfielder. Flashed longer strides with aggressive closing actions to and through the baseball. Displayed confident glove actions with clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 81 MPH from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a leg lift trigger and coil and load creating good torque in the hips. Showed a high intent swing with a line drive plane through the zone working gap to gap in the outfield with the ability to drive the ball to and through the gaps in the outfield with backspin.
