Tyler Potts is a 2024 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Medium athletic build with plenty of time and room to get stronger. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Played both infield and outfield, showed better in the outfield at this event, has a strong arm with carry for his age and was very accurate both in drills and games. Young actions in the infield, glove is comfortable at the ball, compact arm action with less extension and carry than in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short stride into contact, pretty still hand start, short line drive swing with some extension out front, upper body swing that can incorporate more lower half, has an accurate barrel and squares it up. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm slot with some upper body lean and misdirection to get his arm through, lands open out front. Primary fastball pitcher, worked in the upper 70's with good running life at times, topped out at 80, flashed a developing curveball.
