Gavin Stevenson is a 2022 RHP/C, 1B, 3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Basic. Medium athletic build with room to still strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Compact motion overall, comes set closed and stays closed as he coils into his leg lift. Mixes in an out wide leg lift. Fastball sits 78-82 mph, locates it to all four quadrants with intent. Throws both a curveball and a slider. High 11-to-5 shape with the curveball, low 11-to-5 shape with the slider. Both can be used as a get me over pitch. At the plate, uses an open and narrow stance with a long stride trigger. Short stroke, flat barrel plane through the zone. Good strength to his hands, solid pop to his pull side. Middle of the field approach, excellent student in the classroom as well.
