Landon Gaber is a 2020 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Littleton, CO who attends Chatfield. Medium frame with an athletic build. Primary third baseman with solid lateral range and clean footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and showed fluid actions while working through backhand. Clean, quick exchanges at transfer and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry across the infield topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a wide, balanced stance and hanging front side trigger. Displayed a fluid, repeatable line drive barrel plane with present bat speed through extension. Consistently drove the ball on a line, but flashed the ability to turn barrel head and generated hard contact to the pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a smooth paced side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line and works over front side well. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball created some downhill plane with occasional run in the low to mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Consistently filled the strike zone and showed good feel for the arm side edge of the plate. Excellent student as well.
