Will Coleman is a 2023 3B/RHP/MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Charlottesville, VA who attends Albemarle. Recorded a 7.34 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, well-proportioned frame with some present lower half strength and room to physically mature. Primary third baseman with anticipatory actions into the fielding process, a clean funnel out in front and good lateral range to either side. Works downhill through the baseball and exhibits adjustability and soft hands, while displaying good momentum towards his target and accurate throws up to 85 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that starts from an abbreviated windup with a slightly coiled leg lift and decent stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the upper-70s to low-80s for majority of his outing and topped out at 82 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Showed developing command of the strike zone that will improve with minor mechanical adjustments, mixed in slower 12-6 shaped curveball as his secondary offering. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and development of off-speed pitches. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a low hand start, high back elbow and small stride into contact. Creates tons of torque and separation with compact lower half movements. Consistent bat-to-ball skills with present bat speed and some strength at impact. Solid overall offensive tools with some upside remaining. Will continue to improve with proper adjustments and physical maturity. Very Good Student.
