Jovany Lopez is a 2022 C/1B/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Trimble Technical School. Recorded an 8.29 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some size and projection present. Primary catcher with sound receiving skills and soft hands. Arm stroke is a bit longer and could shorten up. Arm strength plays and projects as he gets more comfortable behind the dish. Arm strength plays from secondary position of first base. Secondary righthanded pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Three-quarters arm slot and works quickly. Short arm stroke with a softer curveball. Compact arm and competes with a two pitch mix. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance and looseness to his hands. Strong middle of the field approach and gets the barrel out in front. Line drive mentality and has some strength with a simple rhythm. Good student.
