2025 PG Southeast High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Lawson Sheffield is a 2026 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends North Paulding. Medium, athletic frame with proportioned strength. Good runner, ran a 6.85 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, clean footwork getting to the spot with noticeable bounce and twitch. Under control throughout and the hands work out front well, covers a ton of ground with ease. Can change arm angles, recorded throws up to 85 mph with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, medium base with even feet and a high back elbow, fast bat and it comes off well, impacted the baseball to both gaps with carry. Gets extended well and taps into the strength often. Performed well in game action too. Also pitched and showed good athleticism down the slope with present arm speed and feel for a three-pitch mix. Fastball worked in the mid-80s, topping at 85 mph (1710 RPM). Snapped off some sharp curveballs at 72 mph (2440 RPM) and also turned over a changeup at 77 mp. Projects well at shortstop with noticeable athleticism. Great student. Named to 2025 PG Southeast High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.
