Ethan Clark is a 2020 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair HS. Slender frame with long limbs and room to fill out, projectable body type, 7.24 runner in the 60, moves well in the infield and plays below the ball, quick transition to throw with solid arm strength, shows solid glove skills and a feel for defending. Starts from a wide and open stance with a high back elbow at the plate, shows loose whip in the swing path that is flat through the zone and generates line drive contact. Present power gap to gap that will show better with developing timing at the plate. Middle -of-the-field approach that can turn on balls on the inner-half of the plate. Also pitches, high energy delivery with a closer like mentality, works from a 3/4 arm slot with quick looseness in his arm. Uses the lower half well with a higher leg lift and solid hip turn to the plate. Slight crossfire step to the plate that creates some deception and movement to his fastball. Sitting in the upper 70's, topping out at 79 mph, the fastball shows slight arm side run. Curveball shows tight rotation and late bite with 10/4 shape, developing swing and miss pitch. Great student.
