Mitchell Parker is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. Pius X HS. Tall projectable frame with long limbs, room to fill out, primary pitcher with some athleticism, 7.08 runner in the 60. Controlled and deliberate delivery that builds slight momentum throughout. Easy effort with sound lower half, slight drop and drive tendencies, uses a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact arm action, full follow through. Fastball ranges from 77-79 mph, creates slight arm side run. Curveball has 11/5 shape with some degree of bite to it, change up is effective and is thrown with hand speed, nice differential, solid change of pace. Plays below the ball in the OF with safe and steady actions, solid transition to throw, accurate arm with carry to the bases. Hits from an upright and narrow base, high back elbow and hand load, slight weight shift into contact with lift in the swing, middle-of-the-field line drive approach at the plate with looseness in the swing. Solid student.
