Colin Whibbs is a 2020 MIF/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Gulf Breeze, FL who attends Pensacola Catholic. Strong build with present athleticism. Showed game impacting speed posting a 6.73 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed low out front funnels with confident glove actions. Showed athletic actions working to and through the baseball in the infield to go along with good range working both ways in the infield and a clean backhand with the ability to work through. Flashed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry across the field topping out at 80 MPH to first base. Also worked out in the outfield. Displayed athletic actions working to and through the ball in the outfield. Fields to the side of the baseball with confident glove actions. Flashed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 82 MPH from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs a wide stance with a high hand set and leg lift trigger. Displayed a flat barrel path through the zone creating consistent solid middle of the field contact. Showed the ability to work the barrel out front with good barrel speed and barrel control creating solid line drives to the pull side when on time and squared. Excellent student. Named to the 2019 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
