Jessie Gonzalez is a 2018 SS with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Robstown, TX who attends Robstown HS. Very slender young build with some hidden wiry strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an open bent knee stance, swings hard and has some bat speed while maintaining good barrel control, mid field to pull side contact, has hitters tools that will improve if he gets stronger. Smooth and polished middle infield actions with quick hands and good footwork, stays balanced well, has some flair on the double play, arm strength best suited to second base. Very good student.
