Jacob Mote is a 2020 SS/3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Bloomington, IL who attends University. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.99 seconds. Hits from open, staggered start with leg lift trigger, cocks hands back into load, occasional length in path to zone, shows ability to cover the plate well, middle-field approach with linear plane, can work to all fields with good jump off the barrel when square. Worked out in the infield, athletic actions, glove down a bit late in funnel, moves well laterally, has range to make all the plays in the middle infield, clean release across the diamond from lower slot, clocked up to 87 mph.
