Jacob Zimmerman is a 2019 RHP/C, 3B with a 5-10 182 lb. frame from Southern Pines, NC who attends Pinecrest HS. Recorded a 7.67 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with present physicality and room to add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a strong lower half and a leg lift up to the belt. Drop and drive mechanic to incorporate drive off the backside. Extended three-quarter slot with a low effort delivery. Clean arm action with a slight wrap in the back and mixed in a curveball with 11/5 shape and consistent break to it. Extends down the mound well and works very quickly. Secondary infielder with deliberate actions and has some flare. Projects well at the position with arm strength recorded up to 79 mph. Good fielding actions and reads hops well. Righthanded hitter with an inside swing path. Flashed the ability to loft the ball to the pull side from a compact swing. Can create line drive contact and showed occasional carry on fly balls to the pull side. Tremendous student.
