Griffin Kirn is a 2020 LHP with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Quincy, IL who attends Quincy Notre Dame. Thick well proportioned build, very strong look. Drop and drive delivery, stays on line well, compact arm action hides the ball well, tight 3/4's arm slot, works low in the zone very consistently with all pitches. Fastball topped out at 80 mph early, locates better at lower velocities and tries to work to spots, mostly straight with occ glove side cutting action. Slurve type breaking ball with a short off the barrel break, had much better feel this outing for throwing his breaking ball to right handed hitters. Developing change up. Further developing his feel for his off-speed pitches will be key to his improvement. Good student.
