Michael Ozymy is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Coppell, TX who attends Coppell HS. Lengthy and lean frame with long limbs and projects very well physically. Primary righthanded pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Simple leg lift to the waist and stays balanced on the back side. Gathers well over the rubber at the balance point and falls down toward the plate to get downhill. Lands online with good direction and caries momentum through the finish. Full arm circle and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. Good arm speed through extension. Fastball up to 89 mph, sitting in the mid- to upper 80s, with late and hard sinking action down and to the arm side. Attacked the zone with fastballs and mixed in a slider with 9/4 shape and sharp tilt, tight spin. Sets up hitters with fastball effectively and repeats arm action nicely which resulted in good command. Slider shows potential and will continue to be a weapon as command of the pitch is refined. Named to the 2017 Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List. Tremendous student.
