Eric "Koehler" Vandament is a 2018 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends McCallum HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from an open bent knee stance with a deep and high hand load, swings hard and creates some bat speed, line drive contact to all fields, can shorten his swing with load adjustments. 6.85 runner, shows some arm strength in the outfield with young throwing mechanics. Also pitched, side arm release point with a good delivery for that style, stays balanced and directional well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, very consistent velocity, has some sink and run low in the zone but flattens up over the plate, threw only fastballs in two innings of work. Has the athleticism to keep improving with strength and adjustments. Good student.
