Sam Cooper is a 2019 LHP/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Franklin, TN who attends Centennial HS. Recorded a 7.03 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and a lot of room to add strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a three-quarters arm slot. Shorter arm stroke with a soft stab in the back. Extended release with some funk to the delivery. Rocks back to start with a high leg lift and is very deceptive. Stays online and the fastball topped out at 80 mph. Also showed a 1/7 breaking ball and a changeup. Secondary outfielder with deliberate actions and the arm strength plays. Higher arm slot with a big crow hop through release. Lefthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an inward toe tap into the stride. Longer swing path with some balance and worked to the middle of the field. Some juice to the pull side and creates good strength at the point of impact. Good student.
