Ryan Rast is a 2020 3B/MIF, OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Stilwell, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Medium build with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Primary third baseman, stays low while working through the baseball at pick up. Clean glove actions with smooth paced footwork while ranging to each side. Loose arm action at release and created some on line carry to the bag at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple front side trigger. Stays balanced and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed strength at contact with the ability to drive the ball through the gaps when squared. Primarily looked to work to the ball to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Excellent student as well.
