Gabriel White is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Cane Bay HS. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front with soft hands and smooth fielding actions, works around the well and takes an extra step prior to release, gets on top of throws and ball comes out well, arm strength will continue to develop, accurate across the diamond. Also pitched, works with an on line delivery and compact arm circle through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Generates extension out front, fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly true in life. Throws strikes and repeats mechanics, maintains arm speed well on changeup in the mid-60s with short life down in the zone. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with a bent knee stance. Simple shift into contact and can continue to incorporate additional lower half, full swing through the zone and shows a feel for the barrel. Contact oriented approach, ball comes off barrel well and projects with added strength, occasionally gets uphill with bat path through the zone.
