Jalen Reece is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lantana, TX who attends John H Guyer HS. Large frame with an athletic build and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.06 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Deliberate close to the baseball with athletic strides. Fields out front with solid glove actions. Easy effort from a long and loose arm action. Gets the ball through transfer quickly into throws topping at 81 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a spread stance and leg lift trigger for timing. leans back through load with a flat path through the zone. Rotational upper half with a pull side approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher working from the stretch. Short arm action in the back releasing from a high three-quarters slot. Fills the zone and works ahead in the count often. Nice sinking arm side action on the fastball topping out at 81 miles per hour. Nice secondary option in a hard fading changeup. Lowers slot on a loose spinning 10-to-4 curveball. Works towards weak contact but will create some swing and miss.
