Brenden Morris is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Mater Dei. Large physical with present strength. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Mid to high leg kick with a slight lean back at the top of his lift. Fastball sits 79-84 mph while touching 85 and possesses some slight cutting actions. Works down the hill with a high front side and occasionally falls hard off the mound into his finish. Large and high 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball with good depth as well as a 74 mph straight change that he did not use in game. At first, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Looks to stay light on his feet and shows comprehension for his footwork off of the bag. At the plate, uses an upright and narrow stance with a hanging leg lift trigger. Looks to drive the ball with every swing. Good leverage with his heavy linear weight shift, flat barrel plane through the zone with present feel for the barrel.
