Chris Garcia is a 2021 RHP with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Athens, TX who attends Athens HS. Slender frame, young pitcher's build, with room to fill out. Primary pitcher with a short, clean and crisp arm action from a high 3/4 arm slot. Uses a higher leg lift and maintains direction well to the plate to reach extension out front. Shows hand speed and the potential for more velocity. Fastball ranged 78-81 mph and is thrown with intent, creating downhill plane through the zone. Curveball shows 11/5 shape and is thrown hard to create depth. Stays around the zone and is consistent in attacking hitters. Projects to improve with added strength and maturity. Solid student.
