Joseph Schweska is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-10 211 lb. frame from Springfield, IL who attends Sacred Heart Griffin. Medium frame with a larger build and square shoulders. Primary righthanded pitcher with an overhead delivery with a short side step and belt high leg lift. Medium arm action in the back working through a mid three-quarter slot. Commands the fastball well throwing strikes and working to soft contact topping out at 70 miles per hour. Also worked out as a secondary first baseman. Fields out front with a clean funnel in. Quick exchanges into a compact release. Consistently made accurate throws to the bag. Righthanded hitter with a narrow and slightly closed off stance. Utilizes a short stride for timing. Inside hand path to the ball. Working contact to the middle of the field as well as to the pull side.
