Ernest Denis is a 2019 OF/RHP, IF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Coral Gables Senior. Compact and stocky frame, maturity to his build. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves to the baseball with deliberate actions, shows effort at release taking a full arm stroke into throws, spins off of front leg leg as he follows through, accuracy to throws getting on top of them as he releases, average arm strength that topped out at 84 mph from the outfield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, quick and compact delivery, takes his arm back to a short arm action up to a an over the top arm slot, did a nice job of getting on top of the baseball and working down in the zone, fastball topped out at 83 mph with occasional cutting action, mixed in a curveball with tight spin and late bite. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow based set and a slightly open stance, turns on the baseball well with a pull side approach, showcased quickness to hands as he worked to the baseball, upper half dominant swing. Good student.
