McCollum Mansfield is a 2022 RHP/IF/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Oak Mountain. Medium athletic build. Has a long and loose arm action on the mound with good arm speed, sound mechanics with a high leg lift start and a 3/4's arm slot, low effort release and gets out front well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, works it to spots and gets some running life at times. Showed sharpness to a downer curveball in the mid-60's, got nice sinking action on his change up. Threw all three pitches for strikes and has a mature idea how to pitch. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, has some upper body strength and gets extended well through contact, shows a bit of bat speed and pop in the barrel. 7.78 runner in the sixty, played both infield and outfield. Good student.
