Austin Emener is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Lizella, GA who attends First Presbyterian Day. Medium build, lean and athletic frame, lots of room to fill with plenty of time to do so. Primary lefthanded pitcher, short rocker step into delivery, leg lift slightly above waist, gathers at balance point and stays tall on back side, short online stride carrying weight and momentum down hill after release, clean and tight arm action to a 3/4 arm slot, hides ball well, developing arm strength. Pitches off of fastball, pitch showed decent life to it when down in the zone, mixed in a curveball with 2-to-7 action and good depth, flashed a good changeup with fading action and good feel, would like to see changeup utilized more often. Also took reps in the outfield, attacks the ball with solid actions, decent exchange to a full arm action, developing arm strength and carry to the bag. Lefthanded hitter, upright and slightly open stance, high hands and high back elbow, leg lift trigger, coils hands at load, rotational lower half, loose and extended hand path to contact, uphill barrel path. Excellent student.
