Austin Walker is a 2021 RHP/IF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. Medium frame with a stockier build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.58 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Belt high leg lift working down the mound with drop and drive actions. Stays online through finish. Medium arm action in the back and into a mid three-quarters release. Straight fastball working around the zone and at 79 MPH. Fading changeup that's thrown to induce weaker contact. The curveball is the put out pitch with some sweep through a 10-to-5 shape that is still developing feel for the zone. Also worked out as a secondary infielder. Moves with some athletic footwork. Fields out front with stiffness in hands. Long arm action into throws with occasional carry to the bag at 80 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and leg lift trigger for timing. Stays compact working with a pull side approach. Rotational actions swinging with intent through a line drive plane. Very good student as well.
