Chase Pope is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Waxahachie, TX who attends Waxahachie. Medium young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a busy hand load and a lift and replace leg trigger, pull to mid field contact with a line drive swing plane, pre-swing hand movement often leaves him mistimed and working to catch up. 7.91 runner, has quick feet behind the plate and a quick and well coordinated transfer, has good catch and release fundamentals, long arm stroke with young developing arm strength, makes very accurate throws due to his sound fundamental base, will keep improving defensively as he gets stronger.
