Caden Hare is a 2021 RHP/IF, OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Smiths Station. Medium and skinny frame, room to fill in build with time to do so. Ran a 7.02 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step to a high leg lift, varies delivery with pauses throughout to throw off timing for hitters and showed athleticism to do so effectively, full arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, can get wrapped at times but the arm stays on time through the arm circle. Fastball topped out at 85 mph filling up the strike zone to both sides of the plate, showed a slider that has tight spin and sharp late bite, flashed a curveball early in counts to get ahead in the upper-60s, showed feel for a changeup with maintained arm speed and fading action, really showed lots of potential on the mound and more velocity to come as he matures, competed very well on the mound with his four pitch mix for strikes. Righthanded hitter, narrow base, level swing plane from and inside hand path, needs to get stronger for added pop off of the barrel, mostly on time to the point of contact. Good student.
