Peyton Posey is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-0 177 lb. frame from Cartersville, GA who attends Woodland. Large frame with athletic, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.24 seconds. Primary pitcher, compact arm stroke through the back to high three quarters slot, whippy arm coming through, gets on top and powers downhill, fastball worked 79-83 mph with good plane to the bottom of the zone, got fastball to both sides, showed curveball with tight 11/5 shape and good bite to the depth, did a great job throwing strikes. Hits from even stance, leans back into load and stays there through swing, pulls barrel around, has strength and it shows when square, can impact the ball on a line pull-side when timed up. Worked out in the outfield, shows good balance through movement patterns, comes through the ball well, gets rid of ball quickly with compact release, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Good student.
