Michael Conte is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Walnut Hills HS. Larger build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Shorter arm action with quality arm speed. Higher hands at the set point and works from an over the top arm slot. Fastball peaked at 87 mph and works down with quality downhill plane. Drop and drive actions to use the backside nicely. Arm works well and the slider showed 10/4 shape with late vertical bite. Good arm side run on the fastball. Curveball showed 11/5 shape. Both breaking balls were quality. Fading changeup that works as a quality third or fourth offering. Advanced in terms of repertoire and command. Good student. Named to the Central Prospect TP List. Verbal commitment to Central Michigan.
