Darren Orlando is a 2023 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Beacon. Medium frame with physicality to the build and strength in his lower half. Ran a 7.31 second 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, plays with high energy and aggressive actions around the dirt; comes hard through the ball, funnels cleanly to a short arm action with easy throws across. Shows similar actions in the outfield, has some difficulty working around it at times but uses arm strength well to create good carry to the bags. Also pitches, has a good feel for the strike zone, generates good run on the fastball and good spin to the breaking ball while showing some feel for a changeup to round out three pitches. Right-handed hitter, sets up balanced and spread in the lower half, has very quick hands that generate good bat speed, has strength behind the swing and has good potential as he incorporates more of the lower half.
