Joshua Blount is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from De Pere, WI who attends West De Pere HS. Medium frame with slender present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.46 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, arm works well to three quarters slot release, good incorporation of lower half with back hip engagement, repeats delivery well. Fastball worked 68-71 mph with some arm side run; worked in curveball with 1/7 shape and good depth along with fading changeup. Hits from upright, open stance with leg lift trigger, bars hands deep into load, showed inside-out swing with ability to work to all fields at times. Worked out in the outfield, works well through the ball and maintains momentum, does a good job quickening release and shows smooth arm stroke, clocked up to 73 mph. Excellent student.
