David Keith is a 2020 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Fuquay Varina, NC who attends Fuquay-Varina HS. Recorded a 7.12 second 60-yard dash and speed showed well in the field. Medium frame with a lean build and tons of room to fill out. Primary shortstop with deliberate actions and fields the ball well out in front. Carry on throws with arm strength registered up to 80 mph. Secondary outfielder who fields the ball off t the side. Big crow hop into throws where carry on throws and arm strength played well. Graded out best on the mound as a righthanded pitcher. Full arm circle with a long arm action featuring some wrap. Low effort delivery and good arm speed. Fastball up to 84 mph with good heavy life down in the zone. Can create arm side run to either side with good rhythm. Feel for spin and can manipulate shape on the curveball. The pitch flashes sharpness down in the zone and mixed in a slider with 10/4 shape that war buried in the dirt for swings and misses. Good pitchability and confidence in secondary pitches. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base and quickness to hands. Small stride into contact with a high hand set and high back elbow. Loose and fluid swing with consistent hard contact and line drives. Gets good torque through a linear lower half weight shift. Named to the 2017 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
