Reid Young is a 2021 SS/2B/OF with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Allatoona. Ran a 6.84 second 60-yard dash. Lean and athletic build with room to add strength. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with athleticism in his actions, takes short strides to the ball with good momentum through it, has some length to transfers during shuffle into throws and throws from a lower slot with some carry across. Also worked out in the outfield with a hard approach to the ball, carries momentum through the ball well with a good arm clocked up to 87 mph on throws. Right-handed hitter, shows a number of tools that play well with minor refinements. Generates great bat speed with some whip to his hands on an uphill path that creates lofted contact off the barrel. Great student.
