Bryan is a 2006 grad from Riverside, California and has a strong, athletic, mature body. At the plate, he has a quiet approach that uses his strength well. Bryan is an aggressive hitter and likes to pull the ball and has the present strength and bat speed to put a charge into a pitch. He's vulnerable on the outer half but will jump on anything over the plate or inside. Bryan also showed the same type of aggressiveness on the bases and has the kind of speed and approach that can impact a game in that regard. Defensively, Bryan showed good arm strength at shortstop, better than his velocity numbers indicate. He showed a short, compact release and looked like he was throwing accurately at well less than full effort. With what he'll contribute with the bat, Bryan could be an asset at any of the infield positions. Overall, we really like Bryan's balance of tools and the hustle and aggressiveness he shows on the baseball field. He should be a nice top college level player.
