Grant Norberg is a 2020 1B/LHP with a 6-7 195 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Scripps Ranch. Norberg has a large frame with plenty of room to fill and plenty of projection. Defensively he showed developing actions at 1B with a deep funnel to transfer. At the plate Norberg starts with an upright stance with a square base. He uses a simple leg lift trigger to start his swing and has a rotational lower half. Norberg stays behind the baseball well and has a loose path to contact. He swings on a line drive plane and made contact to the middle of the field to the pull side. He has a handsy swing and keeps his hands inside the baseball. Norberg pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has a developing delivery with much more velocity in there with an improved lower half. Norberg has good run to his fastball with plenty of movement to it. He throws a 1/7 curve ball with some bite at 64 MPH. Norberg has plenty of upside on the mound if he can learn to utilize his levers and lower half. Very good student.
