Gabriel Morin is a 2021 C/RHP/IF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Vero Beach, FL who attends John Carroll Catholic. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a high back elbow load with quick hands and a loose swing with some lift out front, stays short to the ball, has present bat speed and can drive the gaps or turn on the ball, aggressive approach, has the hitting tools and approach to continue to develop. 7.75 runner, receives from a wide stance, has quick hands receiving and in his transfers, gets carry on his throws and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, easy well paced hands over head delivery, long and loose arm action, tends to throw cross body out front.. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, will cut it at times with intent, soft curveball is landed well for strikes. Excellent student.
