Diego DeCello is a 2023 C/RHP/IF/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Hamilton, OH who attends Stephen T. Badin. Young slender athletic build, lots of time and room to continue to mature physically and get stronger. 7.28 runner, played all over the field during drills and showed good athleticism at all positions, primary catcher with plenty of arm strength and side to side agility for the position, feet work well and has the ability to repeat his actions. Left handed hitter, starts his swing tight, still hands, short swing with limited present extension, has barrel accuracy but still start will leave him late until he develops significantly more physical strength in his hands. Also pitched, varies his tempo and arm slot frequently but is able to throw strikes, short strider out front. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, also mixed in a slow curveball. Very good student.
