Caden Brantley is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Newton, NC who attends Maiden. Medium frame with a young, slender build. Will make a jump when he fills out physically. Ran a 7.65 second sixty yard dash. Primary Lefthanded pitcher working from a high leg lift and then finishes downhill direct to target. Delivered from a low three-quarters slot with a compact arm action. Competed on the mound while he ran his fastball up to 64 MPH. Will make big strides when he fills out physically as he is fundamentally sound. Secondary Outfielder as he worked smoothly through the baseball. Gathers the baseball cleanly as well. Extra steps into crow hop before he releases from an over the top slot. Looks to carry the baseball all the way to target with air under throws. Lefthanded hitter showing busy hands with a late load before striding out. Looks to drive the baseball the other way but proved he could go pull-side early in the count as well. Outstanding Student.
